2023 SUV for Sheriff's Office
The Burke County Board of Commissioners is accepting bids for the purchase of a new 2023 Utility Vehicle for the Burke County Sheriff's Office. Sealed bids are due in the County Commissioners Office at 602 Liberty Street, Waynesboro, GA 30830 by 5:00 PM on June 13, 2023. The specifications for the vehicle are listed below:
For use at Burke County Sheriff’s Office
Vehicles bid must be NEW 2023 Utility Vehicles and have all the Standard Features of a Utility Vehicle.
In addition to the Standard Features, all vehicles should include the following:
V6 Engine w/Automatic Transmission
Color is optional (Silver or Black preferred)
Hands Free System w/ Bluetooth connectivity

Hangars Building Development Project
Burke County Board of Commissioners will receive separate sealed bids for the Hangar Buildings Development Project located at the Burke County Airport, Waynesboro, Georgia. Bids will be received by the OwneratBurke County Board of Commissioners Officeat602 Liberty Street,Waynesboro,Georgia 30830, until Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at 5:00 pm EDT and then at said office all proposals received will be publicly opened and read aloud.
BID SECURITY: NoBid willbeconsideredunlessaccompaniedbyacertifiedcheckoracceptableBid Bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid and made payable to Burke County Board of Commissioners.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project includes the development of one 10-unit nested T-hangar as a Base Bid, an additional 10-unit nested T-hangar as Additive Bid 1, and three separate shed hangars as Additive Bid 2,3, and 4. The scope of work includes developing building plans and specification documents for pre-engineered metal building(s), concrete foundation(s), furnishing and erecting building(s), making all utility connections, and completing all ancillary activities, including motorized bi-fold hangar doors.

PREBID CONFERENCE AND SITE VISIT A mandatory pre-bid conference for prospective bidders will be held in person and virtually, via Zoom, on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at 1:30 pm EDT. An in-person meeting will take place at the Burke County Board of Commissioners Office, 602 Liberty Street, Waynesboro, Georgia 30830. The Zoom meeting link will be distributed via email to prospective bidders and planholders who prefer to join the meeting online. An optional site visit will be held after the pre-bid meeting on Wednesday May 24, 2023, at 2:30 pm EDT at Burke County Airport, 475 Airport Road, Waynesboro, Georgia 30830.
An 8.5% DBE participation goal is recommended for this project, and bidders are encouraged to include DBE firms in their teams.
The Burke County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in or reject any or all bids and to award or refrain from awarding the contract for the work, whichever is deemed to be in the Owner's best interest.
