Public Meeting: Burke County Pre- Disaster Hazard Mitigation Plan Update

​ Burke County’s five-year update is completed and has been approved by GEMA and sent to FEMA for approval. Burke County is inviting the public to review the final plan which the county and the cities of Girard, Keysville, Midville, Sardis, Waynesboro and Vidette will adopt by resolution. A copy of the plan is available for review at the Burke County Emergency Management Agency located at 277 Hwy 24 South Waynesboro, GA 30830. The plan is also available at the following website: After the review period, a public meeting will be held on March 2, 2020 at 10:00 am in the Burke County Board of Commissioners Meeting Room located at 602 Liberty Street Waynesboro, GA. The purpose of the meeting is to allow citizens of Burke County an opportunity to provide input before it is adopted by resolution.
