Whenever a holiday falls on a Saturday, the preceding Friday will be designated as the official holiday. Whenever a holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday will be designated as the official holiday for that year.

An employee who is not on approved paid leave and fails to report on his or her scheduled work day before or after a holiday shall not be paid for the holiday.
