The Burke County Landfill will be closed on September 4th, 2023 in observation of Labor Day.
Burke County Landfill to Open
Every Saturday
The Burke County landfill is open on Saturdays. Hours of operation will be from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm. There will still be a tipping fee for waste disposal. Fees begin at a minimum $5.00 and go up to $55.00 per ton. Please cover all loads to prevent littering on our roads and highways.

Illegal dumping is just what it says, (Illegal).
Our goal at this landfill site is protect Human Health and the Environment by providing a safe and effective way to dispose of your waste products here in Burke County.
By disposing your waste properly, you help to prevent environmental issues such as;
Diseases carried by mosquitos, flies, and rats.
Contamination of ground water.
Contamination of drinking water wells.
Contamination of our river and streams.
Please use your tax dollars wisely by using this facility instead of dumping trash on roadway, and other areas that are (NOT) legal dumping sites.
