Subject: Notice of Construction at Burke County Airport

Dear Based Tenants,

This is to inform you of an upcoming development at the Burke County Airport that may affect your operations.

Beginning 21 August 2024, earthwork construction will be commencing east of the existing terminal apron though the Fall with subsequent construction of two T-hangar and three box hangar buildings next Spring. The majority of this work will not affect taxiway, runway, and apron operations.

In addition to the sitework and hangars, construction to fill the wetland area near the approach end of Runway 8 will take place this Fall. This will involve hauling fill material east of the existing terminal apron to the wetland along the parallel taxiway. Please note that the taxiway will be closed during this phase of the project to ensure the safety of all airport users and to facilitate the smooth execution of the project. Once we have the contractors schedule, we’ll share it via email.

We understand that these changes may cause some disruption to your operations, and we apologize for the inconvenience this may cause. We assure you that we are taking all necessary steps to minimize the impact on your operations and to complete the project as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Please note that a NOTAM will be issued once the contractor's schedule is confirmed. We encourage you to monitor the NOTAMs closely for the most up-to-date information on the project's progress and any potential impact on airport operations.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this time. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our airport consultant Olha Karikh of MaesAwyr at olha@maesawyr.com or (318) 664-3427. We are here to assist you in any way we can.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership.
